Sprinklers Tinkling Timing

Good morning,

I have a beef. May I share? I don't know how many of you have been caught in a sprinkler shower, but it has been happening WAY too much for us lately.

One evening a week or two ago,Dad had to work late. We were heading home about 6:30 PM. (Normally we head home between 5:00 and 5:30 PM.)

So off we go, north on Dayton , and we hit our first sprinkler.

I did a 90 degree turn trying to stop Dad from going forward. We both got wet while Dad tried to figure out what was going on. He refused to turn around and said "forward."

I hurried forward and we tried to dance between the sprinklers. We got soaked because we ran through about 10 of them.

Why don't they run these sprinklers at night? Does not make sense to sprinkle while the sun shines, does it?

On a Friday morning, we left about 8:00 AM and took a turn south on Dayton on the opposite side of the street. As soon as we turned south off of Caley, I jerked Dad again to the right to stop him.

Can you believe it?! The sprinklers were on and spraying us.

Dad, bless his heart, felt like he could RUN through these, too. They were soaking the area and guess who else - both of us!

We went about 20 steps and then Dad said "Right, right, let's get the heck out of here!"

We made it back to the corner and kept geting sprayed as we waited for the light to change. Why do they sprinkle in the morning when it's time for school kids and us to walk?!

OK, we have learned that we need to adjust our routes on certain days. I'll get off my dog house now - I just wanted to share.

Grumbling and mumbling, Zane

I am so happy to have found your blog! I am a puppy raiser though the puppy I was raising was recently career changed and is now my pet. I am going to link to your blog, feel free to do the same!

Keep up the good work Zane!

Brittany,

So good to hear from you! What is your master's name? Are you a Yellow Lab? I have a couple brothers who are Yellow and I'm nice and black and it is HOT in Denver today.

When I play Kong in the afternoon, my tongue is handing out! But I just keep chasing that stupid bouncing thing and I love it!

Let me know more about your career change. What happened? Did you chase too many boys?

Thanks for sharing with me. I love it.

Big Licks, Zane
